No rest for the wicked
Ok i lied. I said i wasn't going to have another down day. Things change though, and this time it was the schedule for week 5. Week 5 scares me. For starters, we have Sunday evening to play with our touring equipment to get used to it. Monday is our first experience ski touring, so no doubt my body will be hurting by the end of the day. Tuesday is our cat-skiing day with Fernie Wilderness Adventures, which from previous experience, is very hard work! Wednesday we are free to ski (or sleep!). Thursday we have our extra lesson to make up for the one we missed out on with the late arrival. Friday is our second touring day, so theoretically we should be getting better, but with the amount of exercise in the past few days, it is definately not going to be an easy feat. Saturday may also be a rest day, because i am in group 1 for the boulder hut trip, which leaves 1 week today... SO EXCITED!
Instead, today consisted of yet another breakfast at The Loaf, a trip to the cinema to see the recently released 'Safe House', a typical meal at the pub, then straight onto the Ghostriders game. It was looking set for a close match with the score at 2-2 after the first period. The riders had a terrible second period, conceeding another 3 goals whilst not finding the net at all themselves. Into the third period and within 24 seconds, Creston put the sixth one in. Fernie got another consolation goal midway through the third, but it was never enough to stage a comeback. Unusually, there was no fight. It was a very physical game and there were plenty of slams and players sent to the sin bin, but the refs managed to diffuse any potential situations. Disappointing really, you can't beat a good hockey fight!
